# VIDYA Copilot

> VIDYA Copilot is an early Android app that helps Indian school teachers ask questions about school topics by typing or speaking, in Hindi, Marathi or English, and read or hear the reply. The AI runs on the phone (the app has no internet permission). Replies come from the AI's memory, not the teacher's textbook, and every reply carries the warning "Answered from memory, not from your book — worth checking." The teacher checks the reply and makes the final decision. The app appears on the phone as VIDYA Shikshak. Not yet on the Play Store; access by contacting the team.
